Founded in 1992 by Mary Lynch, Clowning Around has always strived to do just one thing… HAVE FUN!! We believe that if we’re having fun than everyone around us is having fun too. Owned and operated since 2000 by Eric and Michelle Halvorsen, Clowning Around is truly a family business in every way.
Eric has worked with children for the last 15 years. Besides clowning he was a Director of a Child Care Center for 8 years in Richmond, Virginia and also has worked extensively with the Mendez Foundation in Tampa, Florida. He has participated in various children’s theater groups and has recently written an educational music show (see Silly Sam) for pre-school and kindergarten age children.
Michelle has also worked in Child Care Centers and has owned her own Home Daycares in both California and Florida.
Together they are the proud parents of two little clowns and bring a combined 25 years experience to the Bay area.
Eric, Michelle and their staff of talented entertainers want nothing more than to spread their happiness and joy of life with as many people, young and older, as they possibly can.
